[The night sky was dark and clear, the perfect setting for star gazing. It was a bit chilly, but nothing warm jacket or blanket couldn't fix. One lay near by, waiting to be put to use as he laid back, using his arms as a pillow. All of his attention rested on the stars, trying to pick out the different groupings and constellations.]

Such a strange sight this is. Have you gazed at the night sky often?

Wow...

[Getting flung into another universe is kind of jarring when you realize you don't know any of the stars. Emil stares up at the sky, trying to trace constellations with his eyes, but... they're all unfamiliar.]

... Hey, Orihime?

What is it?

[Her response is cheerful as she pulls her gaze away from the star-studded sky, smiling at her companion.]

What are some of the constellations here? The ones back home are really different...

[It's a little disconcerting.]

[They're a bit of a way from home, but it's mostly because city lights make things harder to see. It's kind of a chilly night, but there isn't a cloud in the sky--all the easier for watching meteor showers.]

[Rihan had only been listening with half a ear on the conversation that had led him up the hill this night. Apparently a planet was passing by on the great sky. A perfect reason to drink some sake under the stars.]

[Rydia smiled to herself as she looked up in the sky, protecting her eyes from the sun's light with one hand. It was a bit funny that she would see the sun be blocked out by the moon she had walked on only a few months ago. That she even lived to see this with all the fighting she had been mixed up in. Some peace and quite and a solar eclipse would do her good.]

[ Hey, Hawke! Remember that one elf lady that showed up riding on the back of your Mabari one day? Well, she's here again, hanging out just staring up at the sky. She looks like she's spacing out, not really paying attention until one of the stars shoots across the sky - then she jumps, reeling back under the safety of the overhang before she peeks out again.

Then another star falls, and another, until they're lighting up the sky and she reaches out to tug on Hawke's shirt to get his attention, pointing up with her free hand. ] Hey! Did you see that?

[Rydia wasn't able to fall asleep this night so she went for a walk watching the stars instead. First she only saw them sitting up in the sky like they always did then one fell and another and another. It was raining stars and she just stood there looking at them.]

Justin wouldn't know how to work a camping trip at all if it hadn't have been for family friends growing up. If it hadn't been for weekends away with other rich kids, rich kids with outdoors-y fathers, if it hadn't been for clubs and associations said rich kids were almost obligated to join...Justin wouldn't have a clue where to start. He certainly wouldn't have sought it out in his adult life, not with the build and like of cleanliness that he'd grown into. He was fine with the outdoors. In moderation. A night out not far from his parents' place, a location where they could easily get to a nice restroom if they really had to, a place not far from an actual residence? Moderate enough, as far as Justin was concerned.

But he's been a bit juvenile, he knows, watching Tony go through massive issues with starting a fire. Matches? Oh no. Hidden away in an inner, zipped up sleeve of his duffel bag, however, is something a lot better and far easier to deal with. He's bent over it a moment before he pulls out a butane grill lighter, the innocent look on his face not as innocent as he'd liked it to be. But he can't help it, all right? It was good for a few minutes, but there's no way he'd let Tony linger on in fear it would never happen and he'd end up bleeding all over the place after trying to rub fire from two sticks.

"It's the twenty-first century, right? It's like bringing a knife to a gun fight or whatever. Here, just." A moment and he lights it up, moving his hand to the side to demonstrate how it's done as he comes up next to him, giving himself a bit of room in case Tony decides his game is deplorable and so is he. "You got it, or should I do it?"

[Pierre looked up at the big round moon. He had ended up somewhere after he fell through the forgotten pathway. He could just hope that he would find his way back soon.]

[Stars were something that she loved. The world continued to change around her as it aged and she didn't but the stars... Well, they were like her. Years came and went but the night sky always stayed the same. That wasn't to say it wasn't without its surprises though!

Tooth touched down to sit in a meadow near a sleepy little village. Her only company seemed to be some sheep that didn't mind her precense too much. One of them "baa"ed at her but she showed no signs of hostility so it quickly moved on. Her only response was a light laugh before her eyes went back up to the sky.]

Oh! [Was that a shooting star? It was! The girl closes her eyes and makes a wish before re-opening them to quite the sight. There wasn't just one or two shooting stars, there were several. They streaked beautifully across the sky and Toothaiana couldn't help but be enamored by them. Maybe a little too enamored though as she became unaware of her surroundings and anyone that might be approaching.]

It's a cold night, but Vivi's pulled his coat tightly around him. He's heard from a few people that a meteor shower is expected, and he doesn't want to miss it. Some of his fondest memories are sitting in the marsh where his grandpa raised him, looking up at the sky. This event, tonight, is like a little sliver of home.

Unfortunately, he doesn't see that Lioriley is here, too, until the revelation surprises him enough that he falls over. "O-oh, sorry!" he apologizes quickly, getting to his feet. "I c-can go somewhere else if you want to be a-alone..."

[Hey, he's got a ship. The view's got to be amazing.]

Hmmm...well, let's see...you can almost always see the Big Dipper no matter what time of year it is. See how those four stars kind of make a square, with a handle attached? It's also called Ursa Major, the big bear!

[She beams, filled with fond memories of learning about the constellations for the first time from her late brother.]

If you follow the two stars on the end of the Big Dipper, they point straight to the North Star. It's part of the Little Dipper, or Ursa Minor!
