It's a cold night, but Vivi's pulled his coat tightly around him. He's heard from a few people that a meteor shower is expected, and he doesn't want to miss it. Some of his fondest memories are sitting in the marsh where his grandpa raised him, looking up at the sky. This event, tonight, is like a little sliver of home.

Unfortunately, he doesn't see that Lioriley is here, too, until the revelation surprises him enough that he falls over. "O-oh, sorry!" he apologizes quickly, getting to his feet. "I c-can go somewhere else if you want to be a-alone..."

Usually, when she could actually see the stars, they mostly stayed in place and didn't do anything of particular interest. So when she heard about this odd phenomenon happening, of course she needed to go and see it for herself. So, the dark elf had been out there for some time, and considering her dark skin and how well she had managed to cover up her glowing lines tonight ( spirits be praised it was cold out tonight ), it's no wonder poor Vivi didn't see her sitting there.

And as soon as he trips over her, the dark elf is flying to her feet, reaching down for Vivi's hand to help him up, "Goodness! Are you alright, child?" there's a pause and then, "No, no! You can come and sit with me."

"I'm okay. S-sorry. I'm not very steady," Vivi says, and a blush would be visible if not for his unique physiology and the time of night. He does accept her help, though, reminded of all the times Zidane's helped him to his feet. "Has the shower started yet?"

She can't help but chuckle quietly, shaking her head, "There's no need to apologize. So long as you are not hurt, everything is fine." and even if she just helped him up, the dark elf moves to sit again, patting the spot beside her, "Not yet, though I cannot say I know what to expect. Have you seen a meteor shower before?"

Vivi adjusts his hat shyly, before sitting down where the nice lady indicates. It's very nice of her to want to keep him company. "A few times," he replies, with a nod. "But n-not for a while. W-what about you?"

"Really?" She looks up at the sky expectantly, "I've never seen a meteor shower before. It sounds rather dangerous - and a bit odd...stars falling from the sky?" weird things like that don't happen back home.

"They disappear before they get all the way down," Vivi says, quietly, though he isn't sure if that's always true. "I don't really know why..."

"How do they do that..." there are so many questions and not enough answers it seems, and before she ends up bombarding the poor child with even more questions, she just shrugs, "I suppose it may just be one of those mysterious we are not meant to solve. I bet it's pretty, though..."

"They are," the little mage agrees, eagerly, and he blinks up at the sky. "It's like rain, but all lit up."

"Oddest rain I've ever seen," she jokes, tugging her knees to her chest, "Thank you for sitting with me, by the way. You certainly didn't have to, but it is nice to have company."
