[Jack was doing what he does best on a cold night; flying around and bringing cold breezes, maybe a little frost here and there. And hey, why not pass through Scotland? He could drop by and see Merida, even if it was only autumn. It was certainly chilly enough. He casually leaps from tree to tree, and with a swing of his staff, leave just a bit of snow and frost. He then decided to change his leaping to floating on his back to gaze up at the stars. Ah, a full moon. Manny must have quite the view from up there. And there wasn't a cloud in the sky, so the night sky seemed so much deeper and larger than it usually does. He curved his lips into a smile as he took in every detail of the sky. Getting lost in this, he almost forgot he was going to stop by Merida's, and maybe have a late night snowball fight. Guess he'd better get going--

Just then a streak of light shot across the sky. Jack's eyes widened with fascination when he saw another, then another, soon followed by three more. Shooting stars! Jack hadn't seen these in ages, but they always brought a huge smile on his face, they way it looked like it was snowing in space. Oh, he had to tell Merida. He took off like a shot, a few snowflakes falling behind him. Man, where was her castle? Why were these forest always so big and hard to get around in-- oh, there it is. Now he has to spend the next few seconds zipping around from window to window. Once he found Merida's room, he tapped on the window with his staff, for a beautiful and intricate frost design to appear. That should be more than enough of a sign that Jack's there.] Merida! Hey, Merida, you gotta come see this!

[Mer had been settling down to sleep, long day of lessons behind her, when she heard the tapping at her window, and then saw the frost.

She rolls out of bed and runs up to the sill, pushing the panes open.]

[He points to the sky with his staff.] There's a meteor shower! C'mon, we can sit on top of the castle and watch it!

WHEN WERE THEY OFF? THE FIRST .5 SECONDS WE MET?

[Her smile gets big and bright--]

Alright, y'think y'can get me up there? Or am goin' t'have t'run through th'castle?

[SHE CAN GET UP THERE. JUST. NOT THROUGH THE WINDOW.]

[He could easily squeeze through the window, but Merida and her fat ass would be a bit more of a problem. He looks around her room, then cranes his neck out to look outside the castle walls.] Do you think you can find a bigger window? I could squeeze you out through that.

[QURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRL]

I can fit through my window Jack. [Shoves you to the side as she plants that fat ass of hers on to the sill and the lift one leg up over the side--- and the then other-- AND SHE'S OUT.]

[Oh. Oops.] Hey, I wasn't sure, it looked like a tight fit. [And changing the subject before she gets mad. There's that grin again.] Come on, you gotta see this before it's over. And there's a full moon tonight, so it looks even better!

[He holds out his hand for her to take SO HE CAN SHOW HER A WHOLE NEW WOOOOOOOOOOOORLD.]

[She'll raise a brow before taking his hand. Do you trust me?]

S'long as y'think y'can lift me up.

[A bit skeptical right now okay. you are a twig bro.]

[Hey, he's got the wind on his side. And soon enough, a gust of wind comes by, making it easy for Jack to carry Merida to the roof of the castle. But once they're up high enough, the meteor shower should be in plain sight.] Where do you think is a good place to sit down?

[dsahidoa excuse you Jack. This may be normal for you, but flying is not something she does everyday. She'll point to the highest tower, where her father and the other lords got stuck before they streaked through the castle]

[He's being careful, god! He floats over, and lets her down gently before pointing his staff to the sky.] See? Look at all the shooting stars!

[Sure enough, there's dozens of streaks of lights in the night sky, quickly falling down to earth.]

[She's on the ground and then eyes immediatly up. Following where he points with his staff. There's a laugh of pure delight as she reaches out and grabs on to Jack's arm.]

Haha! They're amazin'!

[Don't mind as she bounces a bit in excitement right next to you--]

Have y'made a wish yet?

[He can't help but grin at her excitement, staring back at the stars and laughing himself.] I know! They're beautiful.

[dfjgbdjg Mer, you're being so adorable.] ... nah. I don't really have anything to wish for.

[She's not even trying right now]

Nothin' t'wish for? At all? [That'll get her gaze back on you.] You're sure about that?

[Because there's about a billion things she wants to wish for.]

[STILL ADORABLE.] Yeah. I mean. I've already got friends. I can be seen by kids. There's... not much else I want.

[W E L P. Don't mind as she grabs your wrist-- almost grabbed your hand but thought better of it-- Really nothing more than a happy little gesture. Like a "thanks".]

I'm just th'opposite. I think I've got too many wishes.

[A new bow, new riding gear for Angus, to travel all over, the health of her family--

And then nope, her fingers curl around his as she turns to him again.]

There's nothin'? Really?

[Good thing it's dark out because he flushes just a tinge when she takes his hand, but he'll hold her hand in return despite that.] Hey, lots of wishes are a good thing.

[He stares back up at the sky, his gazed specifically fixed on Manny. He was kind of a jerk for those three hundred years, but now Jack knows Manny wanted him to find the answers on his own.] Not a thing. Aside from I wish the kids can always have fun, but that's kind of what I'm here for.

[A grin and she almost leans over to kiss him on the cheek--]

[--and then oh, yeah. Whoops. Pulling back. Getting out of your personal space.--]

[--Instead she'll pull away from him, trying to cover up the slightly awkward moment, and run a bit forward-- night dress twirlling along with her movement--]

[And nooooooooooooow. She's wishing. Enjoy the silence, it's one of the few moments of quiet you'll have with her.]

Haha, very funny. [Why yes, her suddenly leaning in did cause him to panic a little on the inside. It's a good thing she ran ahead because he needs a moment to get rid of that blush, and run a hand awkwardly through his hair. He twirls his staff around a little, putting a hand inside his coat pocket and walking over to her.] So, what're you gonna wish for?

I can't tell y'that. It's a secret!

[DUH]

Okay, okay, keep your secrets, then. I was just asking. [He hops up lightly to sit on top of his staff, one leg hanging over as he stares at the sky.
