[He just quietly laughs for a bit, patting her head on his shoulder.] Okay, I'm sorry. Just... really grateful.

[She'll just nuzzle in a bit closer--] It's fine, honestly.

[She's trying to show that through her actions right now, but it's not communicating like she wants it to(See how she's not shoving you away, Jack? Or screaming or yelling or fighting?). So she takes a deep breath and pulls him a bit closer so he can hear her murmur--]

I-- liked it. [dioahio more red, discussing feels. How do?] I like th'fact that y'feel comfortable with me.

[Because she was a bit worried before. that she'd gone and screwed things up again.]

[That... is without a doubt going to make him flush a little. He'll try to subtly hide his own face, too.] I'm getting more used to you, and how you do things, I guess. [It's hard not to when he spends so much time around her.]

[Burying her face back in his hoodie because she's being earnest and-- oh jesus no, oh god--]

[There's a soft, yet sharp intake of breath at her question, and he doesn't say a word at first. After a moment or two of silence, and much more red coming to his face, he finally mumbles back.] If you want, I'm... okay with it.

[There's a long pause before she lets out a long breath of air. Okay, she-- ]

[--needs to giggle. a bit out of relief first. Because just now the elation is hitting her (That was almost like climbing up the Crone's Tooth, with the amount of adrenalin coursing through her body). She tries to muffle it before resting a hand to Jack's cheek.

She's not laughing at you. She swears. Oh god--]

[Then she'll look up at him, this big goofy grin on her face. One he probably never sees that often. Not cocky or scheming. Just happy.]

Okay. [She tries to bite back her smile a bit.]

[She really really does want this to be better, for him because. God she sucked that first time. That was an awful way to get kissed, especially for the first time.

But she doesn't... really want to be insanely bossy. But she's new to this to. Kissing and just. physical affection beyond the basics. She's not sure what those nonverbal cues are or how to give them]

Try t'relax. [She knows that's easier said then done.]

[He slowly moves his hand up over hers, holding it loosely. His heart feels like it's going to beat out of his chest.] That might be a bit hard, but I'll try.

[There's a nervous chuckle as he tries to do just that, and relax, but his red face says otherwise.] Okay.

[He'll just. Wait. And mmmmmmaybe lean in a little?]

[She just-- giggles softly. And runs her thumb over his cheek, before winding her other hand behind him, weaving fingers through the hairs on the back of his neck.

One more breath before she lets her eyes close and presses her lips against his gently. No pushing or shoving this time, just a soft, affectionate kiss. Just like a first kiss should be.]

[The kiss makes him warm up a little bit more, to the point where it's almost uncomfortable. But he knows once he gets used to this, it'll die down. He hopes his lips won't be too cold for her when he gently presses his lips against hers in return.

A hand moves don to rest on her hip, pulling her just a bit closer. He... likes this. It feels nice when it's not forced or surprised.]

[She keeps it light, right now. She knows her warmth may overwhelm him, especially considering they were both bright red earlier. She doesn't want to push him into anything too fast or hard.

Instead she'll just continue to run her thumb across his cheek, pull her other hand through his hair a bit. She's letting him decide the pace for now. No need to scare him off.]

[Jack leans a little bit more into the kiss, but not too much in case she's not comfortable with it. He decides it's best to just go slow right now, and save anything else for later, or another time.

He gives the hand over his cheek a gentle squeeze, and he can't help but smile into the kiss. His opinion of kissing Merida has changed or the better.]

[She smiles a bit into the kiss, feeling that hand squeeze her own. It's just the bit of encouragement she needed. She presses in, giving him a more firm kiss, letting it linger against his lips and then pulls away. Time to check up on him.]

So-- [She puffs a little, more out of breath then she thought--] -- better than th'first?

[Her heart's in her throat, pounding away, and her cheeks are red and rosey-- but she's smiling big and wide.]

[He's a tinge sad when Merida breaks the kiss, and he knows his emotions are going to be a mess to sort out after this. He's a bit out of breath, too, and he can feel himself still warm.] Yeah. A lot better.

[He can't think of anything else to say after that, but he'd rather not be in silence. So, he'll just say the first thing that pops into his head.] Thanks.

[She wants to kiss him again, that's a fact. She liked his cold lips and that gentle hand. But she knows this may be a one time thing-- and she doesn't want to get her hopes up or push him into something he doesn't want.]

You're welcome. [Hand moves to push the hair out of his eyes. She's not sure whether she should say something cocky and disarming or something a bit more serious, so she attempts for the middle] If you're ever in need of more of my kissin' expertise, just cover m'mum's tapestry room in snow.

[The gentle touch of her hands give him goosebumps, and he reaches out to hold one of her hands in his own. Something about all of this just feels right.] I'll remember that. Might have to fly around a bit to find it, though.

[He'd ask for another kiss, but at the moment, calming down and getting the blush out of his face takes priority.]
