He twitches slightly at that, before glancing at the absolute madman (really, he has to be, given the situation), giving a slight shrug.]
All ships have stories. This one...More'n most, I'd wager. But it be no matter. Blackbeard made a wrong move, so he be dead. And now I'm the captain of this ship. And I'd wager the crew a sight more thankful of it, given that he wasn't quite possessed of my forgivin' and merciful nature.

[Was that a shot at Barbossa? Maybe, maybe not, his expression hasn't changed this entire time.
Really though, a human with some drive and cunning is not a bad thing in his book, and he would have needed both to take down the likes of Blackbeard.
Both will be needed before this trip is done.]
March is the Death Moon, captain, let us hope it does not live up to it's name.

Aye, let's do. I have no intentions of losing me ship. Not even for gold. [And he hoped his meaning was clear: He was the captain. If he judged it to be too dangerous to continue, they'd stop. The end.]

[Sparda shifts from his place in the shadows to walk along towards the middle of the deck, the shadows from the above roping doing little to hide his shadow's shape as he gazes out towards the ocean in front of the ship.]
You may wish to rouse your crew, captain.
[Less than a mile ahead of the ship is a dark patch of water moving closer and closer towards the vessel.]
We are about to have some unwanted company.

All hands. Move your worthless legs, ye cockroaches. [There's the question in the back of his mind, about the stranger on his ship, but now's not the time to mull it over, as the crew, and those that had been napping on both the deck and in the crew's quarters, spring to life.] Man the guns. Bring up that grape shot and hold 'er til the word. I want to see full canvas out o' you lot. [The steps present a little trouble, but he scales them without incident, before grasping the ship's wheel and turning it hard.] Hold fast, ye lubbers, we'll bring 'er around.

Until the monster crests up out of the water making a wave large enough to rock the boat a bit as it goes back under. That gets them moving.
While the crew on deck clamors around to move sails and ropes into position Sparda slips on past to the captains quarters where he had asked to keep a long heavy bundle, the only thing he had brought with him besides the cloths on his back. Inside the bundle is two swords, as similar as they are different. On is massive with a large, detailed, skeletal guard, the other is much slimmer with the only embellishment being a dragon relief at the end of the hilt. Both blades have a power and soul the likes of which the world has rarely seen.
Sparda straps both weapons to his back and goes to make his way back to the deck.
Now the fun starts.]

We've brought a spring upon 'er cable, ye bilgerats. Why do the chase guns be unmanned? Hop to, or I'll have the lot o' ye measured for your chains. [Still, he can understand the fear, especially in the ones that hesitate, before they get to their assigned duties. That creature, certainly, is not something he wants to tangle with, not even on this ship.
And to his passenger.]
I certainly hope ye weren't expecting pleasant seas and a smooth voyage, as you'll not be getting it now.
