[ it's a Friday night and the two of them—Totsuka had went home already—were on the roof of the bar—Mrs. Suoh had called that she wouldn't be coming home due to her working another shift and had asked if Izumo and his uncle wouldn't mind having Mikoto over for the night and both said yes—looking up at the night sky. Despite how urbanized Shizume City is, the fact that the government kept the city looking clean with no traces of smog hovering over the place was actually a good thing as it meant none of them have to go to the outskirts of the city just to look at stars.

Speaking of stars, there were plenty of them right now, forming all sorts of patterns that Izumo is sure he knows from his astronomy books. When one pattern catches his eye, his nudges Mikoto with a shoulder and points up ]

Hey, Mikoto. See that one?

[biking]

[ Izumo was doing the looking though, Mikoto for his part, seemed quite content to doze off right there and then. eyes closed, face mostly relaxed for once-- it was dark, he counted on the simple fact that maybe Izumo wouldn't be able to see his face too well. the nudge jerks him away though and he gives a grunt in response at first, blinking his eyes open blearily. his gaze follows Izumo's arm up to the night sky and towards the star he's pointing out--

... wait, which the fuck one? ]

. . . aah? Which?

[ he's raising his arm some more, pointing at a very specific constellation—the pattern takes the shape of a lion... or a lion in his eyes, he's not sure if Mikoto can actually tell. ]

That one. The lion. It's you, man! Right up there in the sky.

[ most disinterested look up along Izumo's arm-- he tries, you know, he does, but Izumo's next words make him look back at him with a bland scowl. are you drunk already? was what his look seemed to be saying, but no words followed yet. because for now Mikoto is trying to figure out if Izumo is, actually, drunk already. he doesn't seem so, but this stupidity he's spurting now sure... implies something. ]

Are you stupid?

[ he is not drunk nor he is stupid, in fact he is perfectly sober and in full possession of all of his senses. come on Mikoto, you can't see it? ]

[ somehow it doesn't surprise Mikoto that Izumo knows his zodiac sign when he doesn't even know it. never cared to know it. shit like that is simply a waste of time-- it was neither important nor useful. ]

[ but he'll still look towards the sky once more, to where Izumo was pointing earlier-- ]

Can't see it.

[ maybe because he's looking a bit too much to the left, maybe looking a little too high. gotta explain it better, Izumo, where he should be looking. ]
