2!
Did you see that?
[ He's not drunk yet, he hasn't had enough for that, but he's tipsy by now. ]
no subject
Ahh~ what am I looking at? Or for!
[ because all he can see is the vast expense of a dark sky-- almost black, but not quite, the pure darkness broken through with hues of dark blue-- and the stars shining, unreachable as ever. the moon is gone by now, either too late or too early, he isn't so sure anymore what time it is. ]
no subject
A ufo! Aw, don't tell me you missed it.
no subject
and nothing.
he makes a sound that's a little like a long half-sigh, half-amused-whine, then: ]
Looks like I did. Hope they haven't seen us, though!
[ he laughs at the thought. man, getting kidnapped by aliens, that would be a novelty, now wouldn't it? ]
no subject
I wonder what the aliens would do to us if they did. It'd be fun if they took us on an adventure!
[ He loves adventures. Not quite as much as he loves his family, but almost. Adventures and drinking, preferrably with his family, nothing could get better than that. ]
no subject
[ his glass is empty though and he fills it from the third-- or maybe fourth? ah, well, whatever, bottle of today. the others are empty on the ground, one in Yukimura's hand.
he doesn't ponder the words too hard, because he likely wouldn't like whatever conclusion he would come to with his awfully jaded view of the world, despite the smiles and cheer. a novelty of the malicious kind, most likely, that is if Circus wouldn't get to them first. ]
It'd be something for sure. Aah~ [ but he'll indulge Yukimura's question-- ] What kind of adventure, do you think, hmm?
no subject
Adventures where you get to fight until you can hardly stand, and where you drink until you drop.
[ He'd love more of that. And... ]
It'd be interesting flying, too.
3!!!!
so what does someone who thinks they've seen everything do when they want a little entertainment that's out of their control? easy! they turn to the skies, of course, for who could ever hold enough power in their hands to control the black vastness of space? the sun is the sun and the moon is the moon. they follow their patterns without any need for outside influences. and sometimes things just line up so precisely that the moon gets darkened.
and that's pretty much the story behind why hirato isn't sleeping tonight, instead spending the night out on the ship's deck with a wine bottle, two glasses to go with it and company that invited itself as usual. ]
Well?
Re: 3!!!!
it might be a coping mechanism, it might be just the way Tsukitachi is, always was, always will be, but he was blunt, he was rude, but most of all cheerful -- sometimes with the help of some alcohol, admittedly. but alcohol didn't change his attitude and general demeanour that much-- simply exaggerated it further into an extreme of some sort. he took life in stride, enjoyed the little things that it pushed his way, or handed him wrapped up with a bow on top, and made opportunities for more.
Hirato's question, makes him lift an eyebrow as he wrestles with the corkscrew -- not the most handy type of a corkscrew this one -- and the bottle of wine. ]
Patience, my dear Hirato~
[ there's still a smile on his face and he doesn't divert his gaze from Hirato, pulling out the cork with a soft, glassy pop sound. it was a night like none other and Tsukitachi was going to make the most out of it. lunar eclipses weren't particularly common and Hirato putting up with his company so easily was an even rarer occurrence. he pours them both a glass, the dark red liquid black in the darkness. ]
no subject
hmm. perhaps he should have invested in a new corkscrew before this, but it's almost a bit exciting when things don't go as smoothly as they usually do. a little adventure. then again, anything can be an adventure if you look at it from just the right angle. ]
It would be tragic to have nothing to drink, though.
[ he says, almost absentmindedly, and leans back against the railing. above, the stars shine so brightly, almost as if there won't be anything different about the sky tonight. ]
But it seems you've averted that outcome.
no subject
There are more ways than just one to open a wine bottle, my friend.
[ gracefully, he takes both glasses in his hands and offers Hirato one of them. his smile always present, never leaving, as if glued to his face. for the time being, it's just what it is: simple smile, nothing less, nothing more, it reaches his eyes easily. ]
If you can't pull it out, you shove it in. Same difference~
[ ah, a man of many skills: probably most of them when it came to partying and alcohol-- and most of them probably not the sort of skills he should be proud of. relatively. ]
no subject
True that.
[ glass in hand, he holds it out. a silent sort of demand. bratty, perhaps, but playing the role of the kindly, polite man day out and day in gets dreadfully dull at times. ]
It's a bit boring to always take the same approach.
no subject
[ his grin widens at the gesture, and for a briefest of moments, so do his eyes. oh like hell he is going to pass up this chance--
instead of doing what Hirato clearly wanted him to, ah, a toast wasn't it? and that's exactly what he's going to get. just with a twist, as if taking a cute from Hirato's own words. boring to always take the same approach. they're the same height, almost, so it won't be too awkward or uncomfortable. Tsukitachi links their arms, winds his own -- the arm holding the glass -- over Hirato's, bends it at the elbow to bring his glass closer to his mouth. he doesn't drink yet, though, eyes fixated on his old(est!) friend to catch even the most minute reaction. ]
For trying new things, hmm?
[ that's his toast, at least. ]
oh my god i thought i responded to this IM SORRY MAN!!!!!!!!
maybe that's why he lets tsukitachi do as he pleases, moving only if completely necessary to avoid any awkward bumping, because hirato knows there's no point in feigning outright displeasure when he doesn't actually feel any. ]
How ambitious of you. Shall we switch glasses after the first sip as well, just to be extra rebellious?
[ there's definitive sarcasm there, but it's far from a serious jab before hirato drinks. because he's done with playing polite for the day. thug lyfe. ]
no worries!
when they part, he switches hands on his glass, only to put his free one on Hirato's shoulder to push him down to sit. ]
Hmm, how about we take it a step further?
[ the smile he gives Hirato is reassuring. warm, even, without a hint of malice in it. the most natural smile that doesn't carry a hint of falseness in it either. it's not fake, it's genuine. ]
^//3//^
but fair enough. he'll take a seat for now. ]
I came here to see an eclipse, not to play around, Tsukitachi. [ a beat. ] But you're going to explain your cunning plan regardless of my answer.
[ which, as much as it sounds like the opposite, is more of an observation or a statement than an actual accusation. most people aren't able to tell the difference, however. ]
♥
and what Hirato did observe, would happen regardless--
as Tsukitachi gets ready to do right now.
that is, he takes a long sip from his glass, but doesn't swallow. instead he puts his hand to Hirato's chin, pressing with his thumb to urge to hip to part his lips and...
well, he leans down, grin wide and intent obvious. ]
no subject
the reason tsukitachi manages to keep him on edge (in a mostly positive manner) is because he often just does things in ways hirato can't because his need for structure gets in the way.
finally he lets a cool surprise wash over his features. it's true that he's not sure whether he likes or dislikes what tsukitachi most likely plans, but even so he reaches out to grasp that sloppy tie and tugs at it, lips parting slightly. ]
