[Throughout Misa's lecture on having fun, Light's brow furrows with increasing frustration. Since when did he say he didn't dream? Of course he dreams about things like making a positive impact on the world- all he'd said was that he wasn't going to sit around making wishes for it, when he could be working to actually achieve those big dreams of his. Which he is of course doing by staying on top of school and learning as much as possible. He'll need top grades to get the best education possible in order to secure an interview with the NPA in the future. That's much better than making useless wishes on debris from space and hoping some magical answer comes falling out of the sky.
And what's with the assumption that Light doesn't know how to have fun? Of course he knows how to have fun.
He hates it when people misunderstand him or misinterpret the things he says. it upsets him because grownups patronizingly tend to blame it on Light himself —Oh, you should have explained it this way!— when he secretly feels that it's because adults don't like listening to children. But given the fact that Light's well mannered and respectful to adults, he's never had the chance to voice that opinion. Misa, however, is not an adult, and he's about to say what's on his mind.]
